Friday FOs - 31.10.2014

Well, it's Friday again and time to show off my finished object for this week, and here they are.

Knitted Beanie
For some reason I seem more inclined to knit that to crochet so this beanie and the scarf I started are the result.

Trauma Teddy #58
I am still managing to churn out a Trauma Teddy each week and this is # 40 for this year. I have a few knitted bears that I have been given to put together but I just don't fee up to it at the moment.

Wednesday WIPs - 29.10.2014

Another week has passed and it is time, once again, to show my progress, what little there is. It seems that my crochet mojo is still awol but my knitting mojo seems to have made some sort of appearance. As of 4:00pm, when I went to take my photos, I had only worked on four projects, one is now finished and one didn't progress enough to be worth photographing, so there are only two projects featuring today. On the positive side, there should be two finished objects to show off on Friday.

Here are this week's WIP photos.

Woollen Baby Blanket - motifs from Ellen Gormley's book
I managed to add another row of squares to this one.

Knitted Scarf
I managed to finish one knit project so I started another.

The only other WIP that I have worked on this week is the Tunisian Spiral Blanket but I only managed a few rows so there is little difference between its current state and the photo that was taken last week. The Albury Show is on this weekend and I will be in the craft pavilion as usual so I may get a bit more done for next week.

Come back on Friday to have a look at my finished object. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what others have been working on.

Friday FOs - 24.10.2014

While I am still struggling to find my crafting mojo I am still managing to finish at least one item each week, even if it is only a Trauma Teddy. I have actually managed to finish more that just a Trauma Teddy this week, so here are my finished objects.

Trauma Teddy #57
That makes 39 for this year alone. I won't get to 52 because I have taken a few weeks off.

Experimental Bear
This started off being for a guy at church to give to his nieces as a farewell present but I didn't think this was quite good enough. Now that it is finished I think that it may have been as it didn't turn out too bad.

That's it from me for this week. If you want to see what other people have been making just follow the links in the sidebar.

Wednesday WIPs - 22.10.2014

It has been another slow week on the crafting front. I have had a couple of days when I haven't felt much like doing anything and pretty much fell asleep in front of the TV. Here is a quick run down of how my week has been since last Wednesday.

On Thursday I managed to spend time making my weekly Trauma Teddy, which I have already shown on Friday, while preparing for a hospital visit that was to take place on Friday.

On Friday, while in the Hospital waiting room, I managed to work on a couple of items. When I checked on my Tunisian Spiral Blanket I found that I needed the pale orange that I was using on one of the squares for the Yarn Eater Blanket so I decided to free up that yarn by finishing the rounds that I had started.

Yarn Eater Blanket
After that I was free to continue the Tunisian Spiral Blanket and managed to make a couple of colour changes before it was my turn to go into theatre.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
I didn't do much of anything on Saturday. It wasn't that I couldn't do anything (other than drive or operate heavy machinery), I just didn't feel much like doing anything.

I kinda forced myself to get the Baby Blanket out on Sunday so that I didn't have two unproductive days in a row, and I did manage to finish the row of octagons that I started last week.

On Monday I decided to get the Rugby Jumper out and start on the front.

Rugby Jumper
I didn't really get a lot done before I decided I didn't want to do any more and switched to knitting a beanie.

Ribbed Beanie
Yesterday was another slack day and I didn't work on anything in spite of having quite a few projects that I could have worked on.

Today I managed to work on this week's Trauma Teddy and will show the finished product on Friday.

Friday FOs - 17.10.2014

Well, I'm still struggling a bit with my crafting mojo and I have a number of items that just need to be finished but the only item that I have managed to finish this week is a Trauma Teddy and here he is.

Trauma Teddy #56
If my calculations are right, this is the 38th teddy for this year.

I will try to get stuck in to finishing other things soon but I'm just not feeling totally motivated at the moment.

Wednesday WIPs - 15.10.2014

Another week has gone by and I'm still struggling to get into any sort of routine. I have had says this week when I haven't worked on any of my projects. It kinda like I have lost my mojo. If anyone finds it please send it back. I did manage to work on a few things this week while in waiting rooms, markets, etc so I do have some progress to show you.

I managed to finish a leg on a pair of pants.

Baby's Jacket, Pants and Hat set
And I managed to to finish the back of a jumper.

Boy's Rugby Jumper
I even managed to add a few rows to a beanie.

Knitted Beanie
A few octagons were add to a blanket but not as many as I would have liked to have done.

Woollen Baby Blanket - motifs from Ellen Gormley's book
I was hoping to have this finished in time for the Albury Show but I only have a couple of weeks left so I have abandoned that idea and will enter is next year.

I also rounded another corner on the Tunisian Spiral Blanket.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
I haven't worked on this week's trauma teddy, the experimental bear that is almost finished, Christmas stocking and trees, the tartan rug or any of the other many projects that I could have been working on instead of playing games. I will get there eventually but I'm not in any real hurry.

Friday FOs - 10.10.2014

I am still trying to get back into the swing of things after moving house so things are progressing a little slower than would be preferable. I did manage to to finish the bear I started on Wednesday but that is all I have managed to finish this week, so here it is.

Trauma Teddy #55
I am still trying to find a suitable setup for taking photos but at least the colours of this one have come out close to real life.

Wednesday WIPs - 08.10.2014

Now that we have kinda settled in to our new abode it's time to get back to the old routine. I haven't worked on many projects over the last couple of weeks and a few of my projects have only just been unpacked but I made reasonable good progress on those projects that I did work on and I started a new project. Here is what those items that I have worked on look like now.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
I spent a few hours at the hospital sitting at Sue bedside while the doctors tried to figure out why she had pain in her chest and her blood pressure was way up. I worked on this until I got to the point where I didn't have the next colour in the sequence.

Yarn Eater Blanket
This is what I worked on when I ran out of colours for the spiral but I didn't have enough of the appropriate colours to complete any of the squares. I'll get there eventually.

Boy's Rugby Jumper
Not exactly rugby colours but that's what the patter is called. I worked on this one while at the markets on Saturday until I got bored with crocheting.

Beanie
I hadn't done any knitting for a while so I figured it was about time to get the pointy sticks out again. I also wanted to see how this yarn looked on a knitted item. I think the stripes will work better on a narrower item like a scarf but I will finish the beanie first.

Woollen Baby Blanket - motifs from Ellen Gormley's book
I finished the row of octagons and then added a row of squares. I think I made fair progress on this.

Trauma Teddy
This was my project for Craft'n'Cuppa this afternoon. I probably could have got it finished today but I was feeling a little slack and didn't work on it once I got home. I will finish it tomorrow so it will appear in Friday's FO post.

I will have to get all my other projects out a get stuck into them so I have a bit more to show you next week but in the meantime, you can checkout what others have been making by following the links in the sidebar.
