Theme-a-licious:April Amazons

Since this month's theme was all to do with our largest projects, here is a wrap up of all the large projects I worked on this month.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug

Hoodie for Me - Dawg by Drew Emborsky

Crochenit Cot Blanket

Daffodil Teacloth

Squares in Squares Blanket

Tommy Turtle
Some of these are bigger than others but I'm hoping that they all get finished before the end of October, which may be difficult considering I'm running out of yarn on a couple of these.

The theme for May is May Memories where we're supposed to work on long forgotten projects. While I do have a latch-hook rug that I haven't touched for ages I don't intend to get it out of hibernation as I'm restricting myself to knit and crochet projects at the moment.

Going Back in Order to Go Forward

Bible Reading

Genesis 50:15-22 NIV
When Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, "What if Joseph holds a grudge against us and pays us back for all the wrongs we did to him?" So they sent word to Joseph, saying, "Your father left these instructions before he died: 'This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.' Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father." When their message came to him, Joseph wept. His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. "We are your slaves," they said. But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don't be afraid. I will provide for you and your children." And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them. Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his father's family. He lived a hundred and ten years.

Sermon Notes

Our family upbringing plays a huge influence on how we deal with issues and react to them. I encourage you to read about Joseph in the book of Genesis to get a greater understanding of today's message. 1. Recognise the Iceberg in You From Your Family 2. We are to discern the good that God intends through and in-spite of your family and past 3. We have to make the decision to do the hard work of discipleship

My Copious Notes

We each have our own beliefs and traditions, passed down to us by our families.

What are the things in your life that hold you back from being all that God wants you to be?

May God bless you richly this week.

The Week That Was 28.04.2012

The end of another busy week has arrived and it's time to look back at what I've been doing this week.

I was back at college this week after a 2 week holiday. This week we started on our environmental sustainability project (what I was supposed to work on while on holiday), learnt how to create special banners in Photoshop (check out my new banner), learnt how to create buttons in Flash and did some more work on my website. We're supposed to start creating the documentation for the website now which is something that I'm not particularly good at.

We had the day off on Wednesday because of ANZAC Day, the day when we stop and remember the battles fought by our brave soldiers. A day which we used to catch up on some housework.

Yesterday we drove up to Darlington Point where we visited the grave of Sue's parents and younger brother, after which, we met up with some of her friends, had lunch and did a bit of exploring in the area. It was quite a pleasant trip, even if there was a sombre aspect to it.

This morning I headed down to Benalla to see if I could see if I could sell any of my wares. I couldn't sell anything, and only one person showed any interest in Tommy so he's still available if any wants to buy him (he will be listed in my shop shortly). Since this market costs so much to attend (about $50 when you include petrol and other expenses) and the lack of sales ($30 in 3 months) I've decided that I'm going to call it quits until September. Basically, I'm not willing to spend $50 per month to watch people walk past my stall in freezing cold weather.

That's it from me for this week. Thanks to all for the lovely comments on my WIP Wednesday and FO Friday posts. Hope you all had a good week.

Richard.

FO Friday 27.04.2012

Friday is here again and it's time to show you what I finished this week. Those of you that have been watching my WIP Wednesday posts will have probably figured out what it is because it didn't feature on my last WIP Wednesday post.

Tommy Turtle
Yes, Tommy is complete, he's no longer naked and he has a face. I always seem to have a little trouble sewing the shell in place and bits get a little scrunched up because I try to keep it even and I'm not sure that his face is symmetrical as I think one of the eyes is a little further back than it should be, but he seems to be happy enough with everything so I'm not going to try and change it.

Tommy will have his first outing at markets tomorrow, but if he doesn't sell there he will be added to my madeit shop.

Check out Tami's Amis, Wisdom Begins in Wonder and Natural Suburbia to see what everyone else has been up to this week.

WIP Wednesday 25.04.2012

Well, Wednesday is here again and time to show all of my progress. All my projects have seen some progress this week and, in honour of Theme-a-licious:April Amazons, I will again show them in order of finished size.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug
One end is starting to look like a tartan even if the rest just looks like stripes.

Hoodie for Me - Dawg by Drew Emborsky
I decided to show all the pieces this week, although it was quite difficult to get them all in frame. The second sleeve is almost finished but then I have to figure out what I'm going to do about the hood and the pocket as I don't have enough yarn to make those. I think I need to order a couple more balls.

Daffodil Teacloth
I kept forgetting whether I was working on the 4th or 5th segment of this but it all became clear when I pulled it all out of the bag. Progress is a bit slow but that to be expected when working with such fine cotton.

Squares in Squares Blanket
I almost forgot to take a photo of this one and ended up having to use the flash as it was getting quite dark by the time I remembered. I'm quite pleased with how this is working out, the increases must be good as it's still sitting flat.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
Another change of colour. I was originally planning on working in one colour until it ran out but I think I underestimated how much yarn was in each ball and I would have ended up with one or 2 colours dominating the blanket.

Slanted Scarf
Just a few more rows have been added to this one. If it weren't for the colour changes in the yarn it would be almost impossible to see the progress.

Toddler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
Still working on the first sleeve.

Men's Afghan Stitch Gloves
Started working on the back of the left glove this week. With the temperatures cooling down quite quickly here I really need to have these finished.

Sue is busy working on another bunting but she hasn't given it to me for photographing yet. She is also working on another matinee jacket but she hasn't let me photograph that one either.

That's it from me. Checkout Tami's Amis, Ginny's Yarn Along, Nicole's Keep Calm, Craft On and Ambassador Crochet to see what everyone else is making.

Know yourself so that you may know God

Here are the Youversion notes.

Reading 1 - Samuel

1 Samuel 15:20-26 NIV
"But I did obey the lord," Saul said. "I went on the mission the lord assigned me. I completely destroyed the Amalekites and brought back Agag their king. The soldiers took sheep and cattle from the plunder, the best of what was devoted to God, in order to sacrifice them to the lord your God at Gilgal." But Samuel replied: "Does the lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the lord, he has rejected you as king." Then Saul said to Samuel, "I have sinned. I violated the lord's command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them. Now I beg you, forgive my sin and come back with me, so that I may worship the lord." But Samuel said to him, "I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the lord, and the lord has rejected you as king over Israel!"

Reading 2 - David

1 Samuel 17:1 NIV
Now the Philistines gathered their forces for war and assembled at Sokoh in Judah. They pitched camp at Ephes Dammim, between Sokoh and Azekah.

An now the sermon notes

Intro - the problem with emotionally unhealthy spirituality.

Saul is a great example of an emotionally unhealthy person. Iceberg - only 10% shows above the surface, but its the 90% that we can't see where the danger is. In our lives this is the stuff that God is wanting to transform. First step in the journey to emotionally healthy spirituality is knowing yourself so that you may know God. David is a great example of someone who knew himself and his God. As a young man, David overcame 3 obstacles to step up and become the man God had created him to be. 1. His family - how often can the messages and expectations from our families be an obstacle for us. 2. Others in authority - Saul told David he couldn't do it. 3. Goliath - we each have a goliath standing in our way. God has given us unique gifts (David's slingshot) and His strength.

Decision time - do we stay in the trenches scared and helpless like the Israelite army. Unsure of ourselves and God. OR do we stand up like David, confident in ourselves and our God and fight those obstacles, becoming the emotionally healthy person God has created us to be.

My Notes

Do you know who you are? What you like? If you don't know who you are then you can't be in a relationship with anybody else. You can't get to know and have a relationship with God until you know yourself.

May God bless you richly this week.

Richard.

The Week That Was 21/04/2012

While this week had been busy, there hasn't been much to write about. I visited the gym Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I went bowling Wednesday night and to band practice on Thursday night and did quite a bit of knitting and crochet just like any other week.

Today was market day at Thurgoona and sale were quite slow. Fortunately, because Thurgoona is quite close to home and the stall price quite cheap, my break even amount is also quite low and easily achieved. Somehow though, $5 profit doesn't seem very impressive. I did get quite a lot of compliments and possibly a new student for the Friday morning crochet class. Unfortunately, compliments don't pay the bills and I don't have enough students to start charging yet (I need at least 6 and I only have 2 or 3).

I did finally get around to doing something about the report that I'm supposed to write for college although I didn't get very far with it. I've never been very good at writing reports and I'm finding the subject, "Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices", difficult to get my head around, especially since I can't see how it relates to the course that I signed up for (Cert III in Web Design). I have one more day to work on this before it's due to be handed in and I just can't see it happening.

Well, that's been my week, I hope your week has been good.

Richard.

FO Friday 20-04-2012

Well, it's Friday again, and you know what that means, time to dhow off the finished objects.

If you read my Saturday post you will already know what my FO is this week.

It's Towels!
I really need to do more of these, but unless I sell some tomorrow, they can wait a couple of weeks.

As a bonus, I have a second FO for you this week.

Bunting
This isn't really my work as Sue did all the knitting, I just sewed in the ends.

For more finished objects, check out Tami's Amis.

WIP Wednesday 18-04-2012

Having a holiday from college has really enabled me to get some work done on my WIPs (although I probably should be working on the project I've been given, but I still have a couple of days). Every project has seen some progress so here they all are.

Since this month's theme over at  Geeky Heather's blog is April Amazons I'll start with my biggest project and work down.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan
This is definitely the largest project I'm working on at the moment. It measures approximately 2 metres square and is folded in half to fit it into frame. You may notice that it isn't any bigger than it was last week but it isn't going to get any bigger, just thicker as I weave in all the chains.

Daffodil Teacloth - segment 4
This may not look very big but it is the 4th segment of 5, and done in #40 cotton, so there's a lot of work still to be done. I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of October so I can enter it into the local show.

Squares in Squares Blanket - designed by me
Round 3 didn't go quite as easily as I would have liked but it's still square so it's not too bad. I don't think round 4 will be any easier but we will see what happens.

Sleeve 2 of Hoodie - Dawg by Drew Emborsky
I'm still managing to find a little time to work on this. It's not going to be finished on time for this winter but I wasn't planning on wearing it just yet anyway as this is another item I'm planning to enter into the local show.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
I managed to do a few more rows on this while watching people walk past my stall on Saturday. It would be nice if they would stop and buy something, although that would mean more work for me.

Tommy Turtle's Shell
Once I've crocheted this together and stitched it onto Tommy's back he won't be naked any more.

Slanted Scarf
Plenty of wool left yet so will keep going until I run out.

Toddler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
The first sleeve is progressing well.

Men's Afghan Stitch Gloves - left palm
All the fingers done now but I forgot to leave a tail for sewing up on the first couple. I'm sure I'll figure something out by the time I've finished the back.

I know I could have probably finished some of these by now if I wasn't working on so many at once, but that would be no fun at all, and there are so many other projects that I'm itching to get started on as well. I will just have to show a bit of self control and not start them until I've finished some of these.

As usual, check out Tami's Amis, Ambassador Crochet, Ginny's Yarn Along and Nicole's "Keep Calm, Craft On" for more crafting goodness.

A Strategy for Spiritual Victory

Here are the Youversion notes from this morning's sermon.

Colossians 2:20-3:11 NIV
Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
Sermon Notes

In chapter 2, Paul exposed the wrong reasons for self-denial. In chapter 3, however, he begins to explain true Christian behavior – putting on the new self by accepting Christ and regarding the earthly nature as dead. And so, in verse one of chapter 3, “Since, then” gives us a hint of this new order, a new life, a new hope. And this is essentially what Paul is describing in the phrase “you have been raised with Christ”. You see, God has given us the perfect solution for a problem – in this case, our sinful nature – through Christ and his resurrection power. But the question that comes to mind is why is it that so many who have drunk the living water return to the stagnant waters of sin? Or, as Hendrickson asks it, why should they resort to broken cisterns when the Fountain is at hand? We cannot just enjoy forgiveness from sins and not live transformed lives. What we need to be doing, says Paul, is setting our hearts on things above. This means that our lives are changed, transformed, our desires are rearranged, and our priorities are reestablished. It means that we are striving to put heaven’s priorities into practice. Dietrich Bonhoeffer referred to it as “cheap grace” – that is, forgiveness of sins without the transformation of the sinner. We need to put to death whatever belongs to your earthly nature, all those things that the society, our culture tell us is “normal”. Paul’s advice invokes continued action on our part. We are to rid ourselves of all the marks of the old life (v.8). Paul’s formula for victory is Put on the new self. In other words, your conduct should match your faith. Being a Christian needs to be more than simply making good resolutions and having good intentions; it means taking the right actions. You see, the new self aspires to a different order (Christ’s order) where the practices of sin are inappropriate, are out of place. Holiness is a new order and we strive to live with the same characteristics of Christ.

My Copious Notes

We need to be people marked by prayer and holiness.

Not too many of us like change even though change can be a good thing. We need to change! When we accept Christ our old life dies and we start living a new life in Him.

Are you ready to change? I'm not sure that I am.

May God bless you richly this week.

Richard.

The Week That Was 14-04-2012

The end of another busy week and time to reflect on what's been happening.

Sunday was a special day in the church but it meant a very early start with the dawn service up at a local lookout followed by breakfast at McDonald's. I made it a long day but we both managed a nap in the afternoon to make up for the lost sleep in the morning.

On Monday I went out to a market at a school and had quite a good day although it got a bit breezy in the afternoon and I was a bit worried about the gazebo going flying as I wasn't able to anchor it.

I went back to the gym on Wednesday and Thursday and I'm still feeling it a bit now. It's amazing how hard some exercises can be when you haven't done them for a couple of months. It seems that walking home from college may not have been enough to maintain my fitness. I will be back in the gym on Monday to see if it's any easier.

Today I was back in Myrtleford for the monthly flea market and did quite well again. I think I know what next weeks FO is going to have to be though. I'm almost out of tea towels so I'm going to have to make some more up.

That's it for this week, hope your week has been good.

Richard.

FO Friday 13-04-2012

Is everybody having a good Black Friday? I've had a pretty good day here but have to prepare for a early start in the morning. As busy as I've been this week I've still managed to get something finished and here it is.

Drink Bottle Cosy
I've made this bottle cosy in Salvation Army Colours and plan on using it myself.

Check out Tami's Amis for more FO Friday goodness.

WIP Wednesday 11-04-2012

WARNING

This post contains nudity. If you are offended by the sight of a naked terrapin don't read any further.

Now that that's out of the way, it's time to show of my progress (and there has been lots this week). All of my projects have seen some progress this week, and I've even managed to finish something for FO Friday, but you'll need to check back then to see what it is.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
You may not be able to see it beut there have bee a couple more rows added to this one.

Segment 4 of the Daffodil Teacloth
Making good progress on this one, but there is still a long way to go.

A Naked Tommy Turtle
Just the shell and facial features to go on this. Who know, this may be my FO for next week.

Men's Afghan Stitch Gloves - left palm
One more finger and then I can start on the back of the glove.

Special Squares in Squares Blanket
That's the easy part of this blanket complete. From now on it get a little more complicated as the triangles in each stage need to be 41.4% larger than in the previous stage and I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to achieve that.

Slanted Scarf
I spent a good 45 minutes working on this today at craft group and lost count of how many rows I completed. It normally takes about 5 minutes for me to do 2 rows so 45 minutes should mean about 18 rows. Don't expect to see it finished any time soon.

Toddler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
Making good progress on the first sleeve. This was the other project I worked on today at craft group. I'm trying something different with the sleeves this time and making them in the round using the magic loop method.

Second Sleeve of Hoodie - Dawg by Drew Emborsky
I managed to spend a bit of time on this this week, probably not as much as I should, but it's still progressing.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug
I brought this out of the cupboard especially for Theme-a-licious:April Amazons. While I think I currently have at least 3 projects that qualify as amazons (this one, the hoodie and the daffodil teacloth) this is by far the largest. Even with it folded in half and lying flat on the ground I have to stand on a stool and reach up with the camera to fit it all into frame.

Just to finish off today, I have the bunting that Sue has been working on.

Bunting in Australian Sporting Colours
Sue is claiming this as finished although there are several ends that need sewing in and it needs blocking. I guess that that's going to be my job <sigh>.

As I was preparing these photos I was thinking about my New Year's resolutions and how these projects fit in. One of my resolutions was to knit and crochet from my stash but there are only 2 of these projects that use stash yarn (the crochenit cot blanket and the gloves), all the others had yarn bought specifically for them.

I also resolved to finish the year with no more WIPs than I started with. Since I started the year with 6 WIPs and I now have 9 (10 if you count the one I have to finish for Sue) then I need to finish a few of these before I start any more. I do have 8 1/2 months to get the total back to 6 so I'm in no hurry.

To see what others have been working on, check out Nicole's "Keep Calm, Craft On", Tami's Amis, Kristine's "Ambassador Crochet" and Ginny's "Yarn Along".

Come and See, Go and Tell

Here are the youversion notes from this morning's sermon.

Matthew 28:1-20 NIV

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you." So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me." While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, telling them, "You are to say, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.' If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day. Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Come and See, Go and Tell

Can you imagine what it would have been like to witness the resurrection of Jesus. To be one of those first few who saw the empty tomb or even Jesus Himself. What a life changing experience. The guards were the first, they believed and yet it didn't change their lives. Believing is not enough. Jesus said to go into all the world and make disciples. There is a difference between believers and disciples. Come and see - this is an invitation to come to God and see what He has done. Go and Tell - there is a temptation to just sit at the feet of Jesus but He has told us to go into all the world. We must be active in our faith.

My Notes

The stone wasn't rolled away to let Jesus out but to let us in. Throughout the gospels Jesus tells people to come - "let the little children come ..." (Matthew 19:14) "Come to me ..." (Matthew 11:28). After tellign people to come He then tells them to go - " Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).

Why don't we tell more people about the good news that Jesus is alive?

Come and see, then go and tell!

May God bless you richly this week.

The Week That Was 07-04-2012

This week has been another busy one with the last week of term one at college and all the Easter happenings to prepare for.

For college, I had to make sure I had all my projects up to date and handed in as well as an Access assessment on Wednesday.

Thursday evening the church was set up for special prayers so there was no band practice. Friday morning was our Good Friday services followed by the Stations of the Cross.

Today we went to Bunnings to help on the barbecue, which Bunnings so generously make available for fund raising, after which I had about half an hour before I had to get ready to head off to Beechworth for a night market.

The night market proved to be quite profitable although it wasn't particular productive. It's very had to crochet when the only light available is the street lights. With the sales that I made tonight I will need to make up some more towels, another teapot cosy and a bookmark, so expect to see those items show up on FO Fridays over the next few weeks.

That's it for this week, hope you all had a good one.

Richard.

FO Friday 06-04-2012

This is my 14th FO Friday for this year and I have another FO to show. I'm still not sure if I can keep this up for a whole year but I'm certainly going to give it my best shot.

Baby's Booties - White
These are to go with the sunhat I finished last week. The detail at the top of these is the same as the detail that you couldn't see last week because the photo came out too bright.

WIP Wednesday 04-04-2012

Wednesday is here again and I have lots of WIPs to show you, here they are, in no particular order (well, actually they're in the order that I took the photos). I think I managed to a bit of every project except the tartan. I will have to get that back out now so I can work on it as well, especially since it's April Amazons in the theme-a-licious series run by Heather.

Slanted Scarf
I've managed to do about a dozen rows on this while waiting for computers to boot up at college.

Toodler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
The body is now finished and I've started on a sleeve. I'm trying to do the sleeve in the round this time just so I can see how it works out and I avoid have to sew the seam.

2nd Sleeve of Hoodie - Dawg by Drew Emborsky
This one could also fit the "April Amazons" theme, especially since it has to fit me.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
Just 2 more rows added to this, but that still counts as progress.

Men's Afghan Stich Gloves - left palm side
I'm past the thumb and working my way up toward the fingers.

Daffodil Teacloth - Fourth Segment
I should be making good progress on this as it's my main "go to" project at home.

Tommy Turtle
All the bits of the body have been made so now it's just a matter of stitching him together and stuffing him before working on the shell.

Squares within Squares Blanket
As if all the other things I'm working on I had to start another project. This one has been rattling around my brain for a little while and I just wanted to see if was feasible. The next stage is to add triangles along each side and hopefully end up with a larger square.

And now for Sue's progress.

Bunting
Six flags done and one more started. I think the plan is to knit them together at the end. This is being done in honour of the knitathon organised by Vic Minett over in Coventry.

As usual, checkout Tami's Amis, Ginny's Yarn Along, Kristine's Ambassador Crochet and Nicole's Keep Calm, Craft On for more magnificent WIPs.

Palm Sunday

No YouVersion notes today so you'll just have to put up with mine.

The reading for this morning came from Luke 19:29-44

We are always ready to cheer on winners when they are winning but we are also ready to mock them when they fail.

When Jesus rose into Jerusalem the people cheered but within a week they were calling for Him to be crucified. The people had seen all the miracles that Jesus had performed and thought that He had come to free them from their oppressors but instead He cleared the money lenders out of the temple, He told them to pay the taxes to Caesar and told them that giving of their poverty was worth far more than giving of their wealth, so they turned on Him and called for His blood.

Will you continue to support your leaders even when they don't do what you think they should? Please pray for our leaders, whether they be church, business or political, that they will know that God is with them and watching over them.

May God bless your richly this week.

Richard.
