Wednesday WIPs - 28.09.2016

It's Wednesday again, and time to show you what I have been working on. Unfortunately, my crochet mojo is still missing. As a result, it has taken me two weeks to get a CAL block done which is something that normally takes a couple of days, and I haven't worked on a Trauma Teddy this week so I won't have anything finished for Friday. The CAL block wasn't the only thing I worked on this week as Sue and I had dental appointments today and I spent a bit of time in the waiting room.

Here are my WIPs for this week.

Moogly CAL - Block 18
I should have had block 19 finished by now so I guess I'm still behind. Hopefully the next block won't take so long and I will be caught up in a couple of weeks.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
I found a mistake when I turned the corner but I could be bothered undoing the last four colour changes to fix it. I doubt if anybody else will notice it.

That's it from me for this week. Hopefully I will be back next week with better news. In the meantime, if you have any spare mojo, send me some, and check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Friday FOs - 23.09.2016

I seem to be struggling with my crochet mojo lately, too busy in the morning and too tired in the afternoon/evening, so I have n't been getting much done. I have managed to get a Trauma Teddy done this week however, and here it is.

Trauma Teddy #28 for 2016
I have tried something slightly different with this one. I read recently that working in the front loop only made the stitches stand up more and form straight lines. It definitely produces a different texture in the fabric so I might use this some more.

That's it from me for this week. As usual, check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have made.

Wednesday WIPs - 21.09.2016

I think I have been a little more productive this week than the last couple of weeks, although I didn't manage to complete a CAL block so I haven't caught up any this week. Here are my WIPs.

Story Time Blanket
We had an open day at church on Saturday I was asked to organise the seniors craft group in the hope of attracting more people to join us. I decided to take this one with me to give me some extra time working on it, especially since crochet classes are having a break.

Moogly CAL Block 18
I didn't get very far with this block this week so I hope to get it finished soon so I can start on the next. Since the next block is the current CAL block I'm kinda anxious to get it done so that I can say that I've caught up.

I had to take my wife to the dentist yesterday so I got this one out while I was waiting.

That's it from me for today. I will have a Trauma Teddy made this week so check back on Friday to check it out. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Friday FOs - 16.09.2016

Time to show off my one and only FO for this week.

Size 13 Slippers - top view

Size 13 Slippers - side view
I do hope they fit. They will stretch a bit but without having size 13 feet I have no way of knowing if they will be OK for the recipient.

That's it for this week. Be sure to check out the links in the sidebar to see what others have made.

Wednesday WIPs - 14.09.2016

It seems that I'm not getting a lot of crochet done lately. I'm too tired to do much of anything in the afternoon and often busy in the evening with other things. I didn't managed to make Trauma Teddy last week and it looks like I won't have one this week, but I have manged to finish the slippers this week, so I will show them off on Friday (if I remember), and I have manged to do the next block for the Moogly CAL.

Moogly CAL - Block #17
I should actually catch up with this CAL in the next couple of weeks which might give me a bit of time to finally finish those owls that have been languishing.

Do check back on Friday to check out the slippers. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what others have been working on.

Wednesday WIPs - 07.09.2016

I'm still not doing as much crochet as I feel that I should but I still made progress on a few projects. Here are the projects that I have worked on this week.

Friday was the last day of term for the crochet class and I managed to do a little of my Story Time Blanket in between sorting out my students' problems.

Story Time Blanket
Saturday I was at a market so I started another Double-Knit Butterfly block for a baby blanket. I was quite busy in spite of the drizzly start and I managed to get 10 rows of the pattern done.

Butterfly Block - side 2
I managed to get the next block for this year's Moogly CAL.

Moogly CAL 2016 - Block 16
Today I went to Craft'n'Cuppa at church but forgot to take the yarn I wanted to use for this week's Trauma Teddy, so I worked on the only project that I had with me.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
That's it from me for now. Since I haven't worked on a Trauma Teddy this week there is a good chance I won't have one finished for Friday so I might give it a miss this week. I may still have something finished this week as I'm close to finishing the pair of slippers that I have been working on, so check back on Friday to see if I have succeeded. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to  see what other people have been working on.

Wednesday WIPs 31.08.2016

I have definitely been slack this week, having only worked on three projects, and one of them is the Trauma Teddy that I hope to show you on Friday. Here are the other two.

Story Time Blanket
I made good progress on this on Friday due to a combination of a lack of students (I did have one but she worked on her own with minimal supervision) and minismal colour changes.

Moogly CAL Block 15
Another block finished. With another block to come out tomorrow night, that means I still three block behind.

That's it from me for now. Be sure to check back on Friday to see this week's Trauma Teddy. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been making.
